About the destination
Anaklia is a seaside resort in western Georgia, located at the mouth of the Enguri River near the Black Sea coast. Historically, the area developed as a port and fishing settlement, while archaeological discoveries indicate human activity here during the Colchian period.
Today, Anaklia is known for its beach, modern tourism infrastructure, pedestrian and cycling areas, cafés, sports facilities and seasonal entertainment. A long pedestrian bridge connects Anaklia with the neighbouring village of Ganmukhuri across the Enguri River.
