About this route
This tour combines the historical landmarks of Tbilisi with the wine, cuisine and cultural heritage of Kakheti.
The programme begins in Tbilisi with a visit to the Old Town. Guests explore Narikala Fortress, the Mother of Georgia Monument while enjoying panoramic views over the city.
The journey then continues to Kakheti, Georgia’s leading wine-producing region. Guests visit a local family winery, taste traditional Georgian wines and learn about the ancient qvevri winemaking method. The programme may also include churchkhela tasting and participation in traditional Georgian bread preparation.
The cultural part of the Kakheti experience includes Bodbe Monastery, an important religious site associated with Saint Nino, They will enjoy panoramic views across the Alazani Valley.
