About Sighnaghi
Sighnaghi is one of the most picturesque towns in eastern Georgia. Located on a hillside above the Alazani Valley, the town is recognised for its cobbled streets, traditional houses with carved balconies, historic churches and preserved defensive walls.
Its scenic setting, peaceful atmosphere and views of the Greater Caucasus have earned it the popular nickname “City of Love.” The nearby Bodbe Monastery, associated with Saint Nino, is one of Georgia’s most important pilgrimage sites. Sighnaghi can be explored as a day trip from Tbilisi, although an overnight stay provides more time for museums, wine tasting and relaxed walks through the old town.
