Borjomi/Place
A historic imperial residence built in the forested Likani resort area near Borjomi.
About this place
The Romanov Palace in Likani was developed as a summer residence for the Russian imperial family. Its construction played an important role in the development of Likani and Borjomi as prestigious resort destinations.
The palace is surrounded by forested grounds and is associated with one of the earliest hydroelectric installations of its period, created to provide electricity for the residence and its gardens. During the Soviet era, the palace was also used by senior political figures. Interior access is not always available, so visits should be planned according to current local regulations.
