About Tkhopra Canyon
Tkhopra Canyon is located approximately seven kilometres from Salkhino village. The canyon is around three kilometres long and contains seven waterfalls, the tallest of which reaches approximately 55 metres.
Despite its relatively short length, the route is technically demanding and normally takes five to six hours. The canyon is surrounded by Colchian boxwood and broadleaf forest, while higher sections provide views toward Martvili, Chkhorotsku and Senaki.
This excursion is suitable only for physically prepared travellers and should be undertaken with a qualified local guide and appropriate safety equipment.
