About Abanotubani Sulfur Baths

Abanotubani is one of the oldest and most recognisable parts of Tbilisi. The neighbourhood is known for its dome-shaped bathhouses, which use naturally heated sulfur water flowing beneath the city. According to local tradition, the discovery of these hot springs influenced the founding of Tbilisi. Visitors can walk around the bath district, photograph the colourful Orbeliani Bath and book a private room for a traditional sulfur bath experience. Abanotubani is located beside the Old Town and close to Leghvtakhevi Waterfall.
