About Bridge of Peace
The Bridge of Peace is one of modern Tbilisi’s best-known architectural landmarks. The curved pedestrian bridge crosses the Mtkvari River and connects the historic centre with Rike Park. Its contemporary glass-and-steel design creates a striking contrast with the traditional buildings, churches and fortress walls of Old Tbilisi. The bridge is especially attractive after dark, when it is illuminated. It is also a convenient starting point for walks through Rike Park and the cable-car journey to Narikala Fortress.
