About this place

About Dariali Gorge

Dariali Gorge stretches north from Stepantsminda along the Tergi River. The road passes between steep rock walls and towering mountain slopes, creating one of the most dramatic landscapes in the region. Historically, the gorge formed an important route through the Caucasus Mountains. It can be combined with visits to Gveleti Waterfall and Dariali Monastery. Road and weather conditions should always be checked before departure, especially during winter or periods of heavy rain.
