About this place
Juta is one of the highest inhabited villages in the Kazbegi Municipality and is surrounded by exceptional alpine scenery. From the village, hiking routes lead through green valleys toward the sharp peaks of the Chaukhi Massif. The area is popular with hikers, photographers and travellers looking for quieter mountain landscapes. Access normally requires travelling through Sno Valley, and the final road section may be rough or seasonal. A half-day or full-day excursion is recommended.
