Kazbegi National Park protects an extensive area on the northern slopes of the Greater Caucasus. Its landscapes include alpine and subalpine meadows, forests, rocky cliffs, snowy peaks and glacial valleys. Major attractions associated with the park include Mount Kazbegi, Truso Valley, Dariali Valley, Gveleti Waterfall, Sno Valley and Juta. The region supports numerous plant, bird and animal species, including many endemic plants. Visitors should follow marked trails, respect protected areas and check local weather and access conditions before hiking.
