About this place
Prometheus Cave is located near Kumistavi in Tskaltubo Municipality. The cave is approximately 1.8 kilometres long and contains numerous underground chambers decorated with stalactites, stalagmites, stone curtains, lakes and other geological formations.
The standard visitor route takes approximately one hour and passes through six named halls. Depending on water levels and operational conditions, visitors may also be able to complete the final section by boat along the underground river. Comfortable footwear is recommended because the path is damp and includes stairs.
