About this place
The Mikheil Khergiani House Museum is dedicated to the famous Georgian climber born in Mestia. Khergiani became widely respected for his technical skill, courage and success in major mountaineering competitions.
The museum is located in his traditional family home and contains photographs, personal items, climbing equipment and materials related to his expeditions. The visit also introduces guests to the strong connection between Svan identity and the surrounding mountains.
