About this place
Chalaadi Glacier is one of the best-known natural excursions from Mestia. The journey normally begins with a vehicle transfer into the Mestiachala Valley, followed by a hike through forest and rocky terrain.
The final section approaches the glacier and provides views of surrounding cliffs and mountain peaks. Visitors must keep a safe distance from the ice because falling rocks, unstable sections and changing glacier conditions can be dangerous. Hiking shoes and appropriate outdoor clothing are essential.
