About this place
Mazeri lies in the Dolra River Valley northwest of Mestia at approximately 1,660 metres above sea level. The village is one of the main starting points for hikes toward Ushba Waterfall, Guli Pass and the surrounding mountain valleys.
The landscape includes traditional houses, forests, alpine meadows and exceptional views of Mount Ushba. The demanding Mazeri–Mestia route covers approximately 18 kilometres and usually takes nine to ten hours via Guli Pass.
